Sandy peaks either side of a small headland, shaped by river channels at both ends. Most are gentle, rolling waves for beginners and intermediates on longboards and mid-lengths, with a quicker right off the headland and, on long-period swells, a hollow left by the eastern channel at lower tides. It works at all tides but needs a good southerly or south-westerly swell, so it’s inconsistent. Offshore in a north-westerly to northerly. Rips pull at both ends and round the headland as the tide drops.
