A north-facing sandy beach with shifting peaks along its length, bigger towards the east end, where a right peels off the pier at the mouth of the River Bann. The beach suits all levels on anything from a longboard to a shortboard, while the pier right is for experienced surfers. It picks up plenty of swell from north-west to north and works best around mid tide. Offshore in a southerly. A rip pulls along the beach, with river currents by the pier.
